Mood: on fire
My daughter is home with a sore throat today. I think it's because it's spring and everything is budding out. Poor thing has allergies just like her father. "Thanks dad!"
As soon as I get finished blogging I'm cleaning. The kind where I start at the back of the house and work my way forward and down. Some people call it Spring Cleaning....I would but this happens about once every two weeks for me. So I call it Obsessive Compulsive Cleaning or OCC. (which could also be Orange County Choppers, but frankly I'm just not that cool.)
We stayed the night with my sister and b.i.l. Saturday night. Mr. magnet had to be at work at 6 and I had the great idea that if we stayed the night, we'd save money on gas (by just using one vehicle). I was right, we saved money! (Told you it was smart!) Jeri and I got up and got all the kids around and went to church. I now realize how awesome it would be to live in the same town as the church you go to. I got to sleep about 40 minutes more. Then we came home let the kids jump on the tramoline and we set out packing some of Jeri's belongings. They bought a new house and I told her she might as well use me while I was there. Then at 3 we were back at the church for an auction. There is a girl at out church that is I think 20. At 5 mths old she was diagonsed with cistic fibrosis. (that is probably spelled totally wrong, but you get the idea!) In December she had a double lung transplant. The auction was to help her parents with the bills. It was amazing to see a church family come together and in one afternoon raise over $8,000.00 for one of it's memebers. After the auction, Kelly got up and talked about her experience. She is a wonderful person and very strong. I can't imagine going thru something like that. She had made the comment that the day they found out the lungs were a match, her mom was "freaking out". As a mother, I can imagine freaking out also. It's what you've been waiting for your daughter's whole life, yet your about to watch your daughter go into a surgery that she may or may not come out of. I'd for sure "freak out!" I thank God every day that my kids are healthy! People don't realize how lucky they are! Okay, so I'm finished preaching! HEHE Yesterday was an awesome day though!
Well better get busy with the OCC!
